It appears that, finally, after
several years of consistent work
and insistence on the part of
council and Reeve
J.L.McCutcheon, construction of
34 (not the original 23) Senior
Citizen Units in Brussels will get
underway before too long.
Tenders for construction have
been invited not later than the
28th of this month. Many Senior
Citizens of this community have
been waiting for such units for

time and are anxiously looking
forward to the opportunity to

It was unfortunate that there
was not sufficient time to
adequately advertise the play
"The Adventures of Peter Probe"
that was presented in Brussels
Legion Hall on Tuesday night,
August 6th, under the auspices of
the Recreation Committee.
This musical comedy, a family
program , performed by "Mother
Earth Theatre" from Toronto,
was free to all.
The play was an interesting and
amusing satire on pollution. It
was too bad there was not a larger
audience in attendance to enjoy
it.
