News of Bluevale
Violin, hi° plays at Presbyterian chin Ih
, Area Wedding ot
dresses of seersucker polyester in
blue, pinki green and yellow. They
were styled with puff sleeves,
bibbed fronts and ties. They had
floppy white hats and carried
baskets of daisies.
Doug Sullivan of Brantford was
his brother's best man.
Guests were ushered by
Murray Locke, Clayton Fraser
and Brian Sullivan.
For receiving guests at the
reception held at Brodhagen
Community Centre, the bride's
mother chose a floor-length, deep
rose crepe dress with fringed sash
and carried a silver bag. The
groom's mother wore a
floor-length yellow and white
flowered dress featuring a high
waist and carried a white bag.
The bride's table was centered
with a three-tiered wedding cake
with clusters of flowers in the
colors of the attendant's dresses.
For a wedding trip to Montreal
and Quebec City, the bride chose
a travelling costume of brown.
The couple are residing in Wat
Waterloo, Ontario but leave in
September for London, England,
where Mr. Sullivan will work on
post-graduate studies.
The ushers included Hugh
Verstoep, Monkton, brother of
the bride and Terrence Seip of
Clifford, cousin of the bride.
Candle lighters were Marga
and Marja Verstoep, cousins of
the bride. They were visiting.from
Holland.
The reception was held in
Monkton Community Centre. The
bride's mother wore a floor-
length pink chiffon dress with red
and white flowers. The groom's
mother wore a green silk dress.
Relatives attended from
Kincardine, Kitchener, London,
Toronto, Wingham, Clifford,
Brussels and the Collingwood-
Owen Sound area,
The couple will reside in
Chatsworth.

Church Sunday, August 4 when
members of the United Church
joined in the worship.. A special
violin trio, Kevin Hoggart, Jack
Whytock and. Kevin Machan,
accompanied by the organist,
Mrs, Ross Hoggart. They played
"Whispering Hope".
Joint services were held
Sunday in the United Church
conducted by LarryKing. His
sermon was centered around,
"Christ is our sure foundation".
Mary Edith Garniss sang a solo,
"Morning has broken" and a trio,
Mrs. Glenn Sellers, Mrs. Harold
Johnston and Mrs. Jim Johnston
sang, "Jesus and I" with Mrs.
Allan Campbell at the organ.
Services for the month of August
will be in the Presbyterian
Church.
The Young People of Bluevale
United Church are having a car
wash, in Bluevaje, Saturday,
August 10 from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.

The marriage of Lois Carolyn
Fraser, of R.R.2, Blyth and
Gerald Roy Sullivan of Brantford
took place in Walton United
Church on Friday, May 3rd with
Derwin Docken officiating.
The seven-thirty evening
service was performed in a
setting of candelabra ,and, spring
bouquets.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Fraser of
R,R.2, Blyth. Mrs. Joseph
Sullivan of Brantford is the
mother of the groom.
Mrs. Ian Wilbee provided the
wedding music with Misses Dena
and Debbie Wey the soloists.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, was gowned in white
Swiss dotted with daisies,
fashioned with scoop neckline,
puffed sleeves, high waist and
flared skirt. Her accessories
were a floppy white hat and gold
locket. She carried a trailing
bouquet of daisies and other
spring flowers.
The bride's attendants. Miss
Mary Elliott, as maid of honor
and bridesmaids, Miss Dianne
Fraser, Karen Sullivan and
Cheryl Fraser wore floor-length

A candlelight wedding was
held at Monkton United Church
on July 20th at 7:30 p.m. when
Marian Shirley , daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Verstoep,
R.R.3, Monkton and Ivan
Hutchinson of Chatsworth, son of
Mrs. Ray McGladrey of
Collingwood, exchanged
marriage vows. Rev. Raymond
Lindsay of Monkton officiated at
the ceremony. Mrs. Carl Homan
of Monkton was the organist and
Miss Susan Johnston of Atwood
was soloist. She sang "The Lord's
Prayer" and "0 Perfect Love".
The bride wore a long white
satin gown fringed in daisies
along the V-neck waist, cuffs and
bottom. Attached to the dress was
a long train. She carried a cascade
of red roses with a white orchid
centred in white steaphanotis and
ferns.
The bride was attended by her
sister, Linda Verstoep , as Maid of
honor. Her bridesmaids were
Cheryl Bateman of Ethel, a friend
and Korleen Self? of Clifford,
cousin of the bride. They all wore
floor length green gowns in the
daisy motif with wide white hats
trimmed with green ribbon. Each
carried a cascade of white daisies
and marigold with fern.
The best man was Kevin Brown
of 11.R,4, Owen Sound, friend of
the groom, pounds of beef available for sale.
