marriage on May 18th, 1974 in the BrusSels United
Church. The bride is the former Marlene Pletch of
Listowel l daughter of M r. and Mrs. Ernest Pletch.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Fischer of R.R.#3, Brussels. Following their trip to
Northern Ontario, Mr. and Mrs. Fischer are residing
at#3, Brussels.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wilson, Kingston, Ontario,
-.re pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of
their daughter, Linda Aileen, to Mr. John Douglas
Hoover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hoover,
Brussels, Ontario. Both are graduates of the
University of Western Ontario. Miss Wilson is a
teacher at Oakridge Secondary School in London,
and Mr. Hoover is an assistant director of Libraries
at the University of Western Ontario. The wedding
will take place on Saturday, August 3., at two o'clock
in Colborne Street United Church, London, Ontario.

Mr. Irwin Lytle of Harriston was
married to Murray Thomas
Wilson Marks, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Wellington Marks of
Belgrave, at the United Church of
Brussels on Saturday, June 15,
1974 at 7 p.m. Rev. LeDrew
officiated with Mrs. Lyle Brothers
as organist and Mrs. Betty
Graber the soloist who sang 'Oh
Promise Me' and 'The Wedding
Prayer.'
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a wedding
gown of white sheer polyester in
which the bodice was covered
with flowered lace that featured
full length lacy sleeves gathered
in a cuff at the wrist. Her long
sheer veil was attached to the
head piece of crowned jewels on
lace. She carried a bong-net of red
sweetheart roses and white carna-
tions amid baby breath.
Miss Jenny Hopper carried 'the
veil., The Matron of Honour was
Mrs. Judith Bell of Clinton, sister
of the groom. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Bonnie Wesley of Harriston,
sister of the bride, and Miss
Lynne Wood of Palmerston,
cousin of the bride. The flower
girl was Miss Lori Wood of
Palmerston, 'cousin of the bride.
The best man was Robert Bell of
Clinton, brother-in-law of the
groom. The ushers were Mr.
Kenneth Marks of Belgrave,
brother of the groom, and Mr.
Wayne Wesley of Harriston,
brother-in-law of the bride. Ring-
bearer was Mr. Kevin Coutts of
Mt. Forest.
The bridesmaids wore floor
length • gowns of red polyester
satin featuring short puffed
sleeves with lace trim. They
carried bouquets of white shasta
mums gathered from white velvet
ties.
The nien wore tux consisting of
white jackets trimmed with black
and black, pants. The' shirts
consisted of mauve ruffles set off
by mauve carnations.
The mother of the groom wore
a floor length dress of spring
green polyester crepe featuring
long gathered -sleeves, covered
buttons and a frilled neckline:
Her corsage was of white carna-
tions.
The reception took place in the
Brussels Legion where a
smorgasbord dinner was served.
On going away, the bride Wore
a blue and White dotted suit with
white accessories. The couple
plan to visit parts of Northern
Ontario and Will reside at ItitA,
8elgrave.
