Jean Vantyghem OBITUARY WILLIAM ROBERT HIGGINS William Robert Higgins, 87, of Belgrave died Friday, June 21 in Wingham and District Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Turnberry Township, February 19, 1887 and was educated at Turnberry S.S. No. 6 and Wingham High School. In 1915, he married the former Margaret Lila Brydges. They farmed until his retirement in 1953. Mr. Higgins was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, Belgrave and the L.O.L. 462, Belgrave. Surviving is his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Jean) Pattison, Wingham, Miss Margaret Higgins, London and Mrs. Jack (Ruth) King; two sons, Alvin Higgins, Wingham and Jeremiah Higgins, Stratford; sisters, Mrs. Effie Fitch, Gorrie. and Mrs. Gordon Walker, Winc;ham and brother Gordon Higgins of Morris Township, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The late Mr. Higgins rested at - the R.A.Curie and Son Funeral Home, until the time of service on Monday,. June 24. Burial was at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave:. Rev. Fred Carson conducted the service. Pallbearers were Raymond Walker, Alvin Fitch, Lloyd WarVvick, Jack Higgins, Robert Higgins and Ross Higgins. Flovverbearers were Carol Higgins, Michael King, Donald Patison and Derwin Hunt.
