OPP reports investigations
The following investigations
were carried out by officers of the
Wingham Detachment OPP.
Seventeen charges laid under
the highway Traffic Act with
seven warnings issued.
Eight investigations under the
Liquor Control Act with eight
persons charged.
Thirty-two other investigations.
On Monday, June 17, 1974,
Maureen N. French of Kincardine
was involved in a single car
accident on. Highway 86, west of
the junction of Huron Road #12.
In swerving to avoid a deer, the
driver entered the south ditch,
striking a fence owned by Jack
Nicholson. No one was injured,
and damages were estimated at
5160.00.
On Wednesday, June 19, 1974,
Robert R. Vincent of Blyth and
James J. Kuyvenhoven of
Wingham were involved in a
ollision on Highway #4, north of
he junction of Huron Road 25.
here were no injuries, and
Images were estimated at
625.00. Charges are pending,
Bruce Wilkin of R.R.#3,
Wingham, struck a deer on
ighway #86, west of the
aitland River bridge, Howick
Township. Damages to the
Wilkin vehicle were estimated at
$600.00,
On Thursday, June 20, 1974,
Bradley D. Smith of R.R.#3,
Brussels was involved in a single
car accident on Huron County
Road #16, at the Grey-Elora
Township Line. No, one was
injured, and damages were
estimated at $900.00.
On Friday, June 21, 1974,
Richard P. Johnson of Listowel,
Ontario struck two parked cars
belonging to Harry Haveman of
Drayton and Johan Tinholt of
R.R.#3,, Listowel, in the Village
of Brussels. Total damages were
estimated at $2900.00. Charges
are pending.
On Saturday, June 22, 1974,
Sieglinde Leeb of Wingham,
Ontario was involved in a single
car accident on Concession 10-11,
east of Highway #4. No one was
injured and damages to the Leeb
vehicle were estimated at
$700.00.
On Sunday, June 23, 1974, a
vehicle owned by William E.
Weiss of London, Ontario was
struck by a vehicle driven by
Delbert E. Clegg of Gorrie,
Ontario.There were no injuries,
and damages were estimated at
$100.00.
Betty C. Pennington of R.R.#3,
Brussels, Ontario was, injured as a
result of a single car accident on
Huron. County Road #12, north of
Conc6ssion 17-18, Grey
Township, when the car she was
driving went onto the west
shoulder, crossed the roadway
into the opposite ditch, striking a
fence owned by James Clark.
On Sunday, June 23, 1974,
Joseph S. Ames of Atwood and.
John D. Hammer of Neustadt
were involved in a collision on
Highway #87, east of Huron Road
33, Howick Township. Both
drivers were injured as well as a
passenger in the Hammer
vehicle, Cheryl D. McDougall of
R.R.#2, Mt. Forest, Ontario.
Damages were estimated at
$3500.00. Charges are pending.
Eric A. Peters of R.R.#2,
Brussels, and Deborah L.
Westlake of Goderich, Ontario
were involved in a two car
collision on County Road #25,
west Of Sideroad 15-16, Morris
Township. There were no
injuries. Total damages were
estimated at $1000.00. Charges
are pending.
