June 12th, in the Library. The Presi- dent, Mrs. Earl Cudmore, presided for the business. An invitation to Wingham Institute for their Grandmother's meeting was read. Names were taken for those wishing the Institute photos. Mrs. Leona Connolly presided for the program and introduced Joan Huether who gave a well planned and well deliVered talk on Margaret Trudeau. Mrs. Cud- more presented Joan with a gift of thanks. The roll call was answered with I the, name of a woman, em in world affairs. 'World Affairs are our affairs' was the motto which was well dealt with by Mrs. Clark Matheson. Mrs. Cudmore introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Marilyn Engel, Cranbrook, who gave an informative and enthusiastic talk on preparing Tweedmuuir his- tories and also some highlights from the Officers' Conference. She was thanked and given a gift by Eleanor Hemingway. Sunshine collection, the Queen and Grace closed the meeting. On Saturday, June 8, 1974, David -L. Caesar of R.R.#1, Dungannon struck a tree on the 'north side )f Highway #86,' west of the Maitland River, Turnberry Township. He was not injured and damages to his vehicle were estimated at $850.00. Helen M. Sproule of Stratford and Albert Nesbitt of Blyth, Ontario were involved in a two car collision on Highway 4, south of the C.P.R. X-ing. No one was injured, and damages were estimated at $225.00. Sunday School Promotion will be held during the church service June 30th. 'Now, thank we all our God' was sung and President 'Mrs. Thamer closed the meeting with prayer. The hostesses, 'Mrs. Gordon Murray, Mrs. Jack Gordon and Mrs. A. Gulutzen Jr. served lunch. Personals Visiting recently at the home of Mr. and . Mrs. Ray Huether, Steven and John were Mr.. and Mrs. H. Woodruff, Niagara Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Watson Webster, Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Currie, Douglas, Heather and Tommy and Mrs. W.H. Currie of-Hamil- ton spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Allan McCall. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stevenson and Ronald, and Donald Currie also visited at the same home. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Huether, Steven and John attended the Webster Reunion held at Harbour Park, Goderich, last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. Stutz and Natasha of Waterloo spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Torrence Dundas. • Visiting recently for dinner at the home of Mrs. Ray Huether were Mrs. Jake Jutzi, Mrs. Ray Klem, Kitchener, Mrs. Bill John- ston, Mrs. Jim McGillvary, Paisley and Mrs. Jack Holmes, Clinton. The girls were all classmates at Stratford Teachers' College. Celebrate 25th Anniversary A large crowd of friends, neighbours, and relatives gathered in the Seaforth L -gion Hall on Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ron Bennett, Walton, to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Their attendants of 25 years ago, Mrs. Bruce (Shirley) Walters of Hanover, Harley Merkley of Kemptville and flower girl, Mrs. Jim (Sharon) Adams were present. During the evening, Ron and Pauline, their Son Gary, his wife Dianne, their daughter Joan, Ron's sister Shirley and Pauline's brother, Harley were called to the platform. An address of good wishes was read by, Herb Traviss and they were presented with an envelope of money. They also received many beautiful gifts. Pauline and Ron each expressed appreciation and ShirleyWalters,Harley Merk- ley also spoke, along with Gary and Joan Bennett. Dancing was enjoyed to the Wilbee Orchestra. The immediate families had dinner at the Commercial Hotel, Seaforth, that same evening. A surprise party , was held - recently by the Clinton office of United Breeders' in honour of Ray Huether who has ceased employment after eighteen years with the company. After an address by Tom Consitt, a chaise lounge was presented to Ray followed by lunch. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Ken Parke and Mr. and Mrs. Toni Consitt, Varna, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Kirkland, Luck- now, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Watson, Clinton, and Mr. and Mrs. Graeme Craig, Walton.
