He succeeds Sister Audrey Domouchel le of Stratford. Other officers eleeted 'are: vice presidents, Sister . Marion Normandin of St. Columba n and Gates Blanchetfi, Stratford;. recording secretary, Chris Polkie- Ma Stratford; (*responding secretary, Carla Revington, St. Marys; treasurer. Sandy McQuillan, Seaforth. Sister Audrey Dumouchele of Stratford was elected to the Board of Directors and Don Farwell, Stratford and Leo Turner, St. Marys, were elected councillors. On taking office Mr. Sterner, principal at St, Joseph's School, Kingsbridge, said 'it will be a difficult year, a demanding year. All members of O.E.C.T.A. are asked to continue to support one another to get what is fair and tisk' He said there has been a feeling of frustration since early February", at which. time 'we agreed on a contract in which. there was a particular article •which is not being honored by the Board.' He said, 'We feel that if the Board does not Wish to honor this ..contract it is giving the teachers the invitation to re-open negotia- tions.' The contract signed in February was for two years. The Association honored three teachers under the jurisdiction of the Huron-Perth County Roman CathOlic Separate School Board who arc retiring at the end of June, and presented them with gifts. The three, who have a combined total of 107 years of teaching behind them ; are Miss Eileen O'Brien of St. Mary's School, Goderich, with 39 years; Mrs. Marie Melady bf St, Colum- ban School with 34 years; and Mrs. Julia Lennon of St. Aloysius School, Stratford, with 34 years. The meeting, held at the Legion Hall, was preceded by a dinner.
