The Bluevale Women's
Institute will meet at the home of •
Mrs. Carl. Johnston on
Wednesday, June 12 at 2 p.m.
The roll call is "How is Progress
changing our lives". Mrs.. Harry
Elliott has charge of the topic
"Resolutions".
Mr. Wayne Baswick of
Hamilton was in charge of the
McKinley
(Continued from Page 1)
He said because of this, if a
person cannot vote Liberal, he
can't vote N.D.P.
"Therefore," he said, "the
choice is clear, there is only one
true alternative and-that is to vote
progressive conservative."
The defeated budget was
inflationery according to Mr.
Wooliams, He said the
government promised to spend
four times as much money in the
new budget as any government
spent in any budget in the last
decade. •
He quoted a figure of
approximately 2.2 billion dollars
spent on unemployment
insurance last year, despite the
need for workers in the east to
process and manufacture goods
and people to build box cars and
men to make steel for pipelines.
he accredits this with the
shortages of different
commodities in the country. -
He told the audience that
someone had asked• him if he
thought 27 million dollars was a
lot of money to spend on an
election .
"I told him that's cheap to get
rid of this government," he said. 0
