Carol is a graduate of Seaforth District High School and Stratford Teachers' College. She holds a teaching position on the staff at Clinton Public School. WHEELER Jim Wheeler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wheeler of R.R.1, Ethel, graduated from the Uni- versity of Guelph on May 24th with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Jim has accepted a position with the, Ministry of Environment in Clinton. BARBARA J. BRYANS received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the Spring Convocation of McMaster University, Hamilton, on Friday, May 31. She is the daughter of Mrs. W.R.Bryans of Seaforth and the late Dr. Bryans. DEBBIE McCALL Miss Debbie McCall, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross McCall of Brussels, recently graduated from Marvel Hair- dressing School, London. She has taken a position at Heather's Beauty Salon, Goderich. The Brussels Horticultural Society met in the Public Library. Mrs.Wm. Hewitt opened the meeting with 0 Canada.' The report of the District Convention was given by Mr. F. Dunk. Other highlights from Mrs„ W. Hewitt, Mrs. F. Dunk, Mrs. J.Kelly, Mrs.A. McCall. Mr. A. Knight and Mrs. N. McLarty were winners in the photgraphic Competition. The Spring ,Show was discussed and, as Mother Nature hadn't cooperated, it was decided to cancel for this year. Mr. and Mrs. F. Dunk were named delegates to Ontario Convention at Niagara Falls in June. Miss Julie .Campbell sang a solo, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. I. Campbell. This was much appreciated by all. and Mrs. Wm. 'Miller thanked Julie. The prize lists for the Rose Show and August Show were given out. Any one not present 'may get theirs from the secretary. Bulb catalogues are available. Mr. F. Carter who was introduced by Mrs.C. Hemingway, gave a splendid demonstration on African Violets. Their culture, repotting, soils, and the cure for 'Mealy' bugs. Mrs. Wm. Miller thanked Mr. Carter and a gift was given. An exchange of plants and bulbs took place. Mrs. J Uniac won the door prize. After singing of The Queen a lunch was served by Mrs. Jas. Mair, Mrs.D.
