Nelson of Orangeville has been ,,called to First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth.. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson and family occupied the manse in Cranbrook in 1960-65 when he ministered to the Cranbrook and Ethel congregations at the time he attended Waterloo University. Now! Mr. and Mr. James Hodgins of Granton visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Pletch. OBITUARY REV. GEORGE H. DUNLOP Rev. George H. Dunlop was born in Enniskillen, Ireland and came to Canada in 1924. He attended McGill University from which he gradnated in 1931, later becoming an ordained minister of the United Church of Canada. Mr. Dunlop served for 38 years in Ottawa Valley and Western Ontario charges. During the time he was the Minister of Belgrave and Brick churches from 1941-1947, he married Mary Hueston of Ramsayville in 1943 and their son Ian was born. There are also three daughters, Lynne; Susan, and Margaret, and three grand- daughters. Mr. Dunlop retired in 1969 arid settled at Ennotville hear Fergus. He died suddenly at his home on March 21. Funeral services were held at Barrie Hill United Church ; with the minister Rev, W.A.Detiipsey conducting the servide. Mrs, McFadden, Chairman of the Waterloo Presbytery and Dr. E. 4g. 'Cent, Secretary Ptesbytery assisted iii the service. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Armstrong of Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Armstrong of Thorndale spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grasby and also visited with their- mother Mrs. Mary Armstrong of Brookhaven Nursing Home, Wingliam. Mr. and Mrs. John McCormack, Christie and Emilie of Orangeville were weekend visitors with her mother Mrs. Clarence Chowney and her father, Clarence Chowney who is a patient in Wingham,and District Hospital. Mrs. Joe Dunbar, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Dunbar, Daryl and Karen visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Dunbar of Stratford. Mrs. Joe Dunbar attended the Synodical meeting in Chesley on. Miss Collar spoke of her identity with the Christian Community in Jerusalem and the work she has been doing to translate the Bible teachings into Arabic for children. She illustrated her talk with flannel-graph scenery used in lessons for the children. At the conslusion of her inspiring talk, Miss Collar answered questions of general interest to the U.C.W. members. Mrs. William Coultes thanked Miss Collar and the meeting was closed with the Benediction by Mrs. Ross Anderson. • Play Euchre Eight tables of euchre were played in the Belgrave Com- munity rooms last Wednesday evening with winners as follows: High Lady ••• Mrs. Clarence Hanna; Low Lady - Mrs. Lawrence Taylor; Lady Novelty Mrs. Mark Armstrong.
