They have the righeidea. 'It takes a long time to plan for such an event. We hope they May have as successful a Centennial as Brus- sels had in 1972: ****** From what We have Observed, it appears that Brussels residents are aware Of the energy crisis and are doing their bit to conserve electricity, By this time, in past years, many homes would already have beautiful digPlays of Christ mas lights. Discuss snowmobile II i trail n area A number of snowmobile enthusiasts gathered at the Bryssels Legion Hall on Monday night to hear Carl Cowden, Snoplan Co-Ordinator of Ontario give advice on snowmobile safety and the establishing of trails. It is the hope of Snoplan to establish trails throughout Ont- ario to keep snowmobiling a fun sport for all without creating a disturbance. With the co-opera- tion of area clubs,, it is hoped these trails can be established properly, connecting town to -town, without travelling the public thoroughfares. Like any other outdoor sport, it is healthy and when it is organized as a sport, will be for the betterment of town and country alike. Possibly a little touch of snow would have been more encour- aging and brought out a few 'more people but for those who attended from Brussels and area towns, it was agreed that the evening proved to be one of interest. • ptimists hold party The Brussels Legion 'Hall took on a festive atmosphere for the Optimist Club Christmas party on Saturday evening.
