Village of Lucknow will receive a $90,000 loan from the
federal ,government's winter Capital Projects Fund to
enable it to construct a Community Health Centre. It
will be a- one storey building, 88 'by 66, with space pro-
vided for medical and dental facilities for Lucknow and
the surrounding townships. - - A second heading reads:

The Mitchell Advocate reports that at last week's meeting
of Fulla.rton Township council a report from the arena
building committee informed the members that final plans
have now been prepared for *the construction of the Mitchell
and District arena and community centre. Tenders will be
called in November and construction is scheduled to begin
by December 1st. - - - William Morey, who has been a
member of the local post office staff in Mitchell since
August, 23, 1960, has been appointed postmaster at Rodney.
His duties will commence this month.
Graeme Cassidy, according to the Teeswater News, has
been appointed to Teeswater Village Council and will be
sworn in at the November meeting. He, will fill the unexpired
term of Everett Whitehead whose death occurred recently.
- - Teeswater Lions Club's Community engaged in a
program to obtain a resident dentist in Teeswater. This
has been more or less prompted by the fact that Dr. P. J.
Leahy is erecting a new medical building, and the Lions
approached him regarding the possibility of reserving one
floor for dental services.

new Howick Township recreation centre and arena complex

According to the Goderich Signal Star lifetime residents
in th Goderich area, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bissett, cele-
brated their golden wedding anniversary Wednesday at their
home. Last, Sunday, a family gathering took place at the
Bisset home, with approximately 65 members of the family
present.
The Clinton News-Record reports that Clinton Council
last Tuesday gave their approval to a new 18 unit apartment
building that has been proposed by Huron Pines Realty
of Clinton and will be built on Albert Street just south
of whitehead Street. Bud Kuehl of Huron Pines was present
at the meeting seeking approval for the $200,000 building
but no construction date start was given. Huron Pines
also received permission to start on three new houses in the
Pine Crest subdivision on Townsend Street. - - - Clinton
Junior "D" Mustangs open the regular season at home on
Friday, October 19th against Strathroy. - Mrs. Vivian
Roy informed the News-lrecord that some $550 was realized
in a recent campaign 'by the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and
the Kinettes. The proceeds are for the ArhtritiC Society.
