The Residents were entertained on "Family Night" a ,musical program arranged by Marie Flynn, who also plat the piano accompaniment. WMS The Fall Thankoffering meet- ing of the W.M.S. was held Tues- day in the Presbyterian Church. President Mrs. Joe Dunbar opened the meeting with the Gall to Worship followed by .prayer. "Fountain of Mercy, God of Love" was sung and mrs.Stuart Cloakey read • scripture. Medi- tation "Gratitude" was taken by- Mrs. Alan Dunbar. Mrs.Victor Youngblut led in prayer. The topic was taken by Mrs.-Walter Shortreed who read a piece ex- plaining the work of World Mis- sions, also a story of a minis- ter of India studying in Canada who told of the influence of Christian Missions in. India. Mrs. Garner Nicholson read two. poems* entitled "Gratitude" and "We Thank You". The secretary's report was given by Mrs. J. C. McBtirney and the treasurer's report by .Mrs. Victor Youngblut. Audrey Scott, the president, led in the Opening exercises. Sheila Ander- son had charge of the roll call. Minutes were read by Patti Ed- wards. Audrey Scott helped with the worship service. The offer- ing was collected by Julie Guay and Patti Edwards recited the offertory prayer. The trea- surer's report was given by Joan Higgins. Leaders for the next meeting games - Sheila Anderson sing- song; Julie Quay, to help with worship; clean-up girls, Sheila Anderson and Patti Edwards. Julie Guay led in the sing' song.
