grants building permits
• The Home and .School Asso-
ciation held a general meeting
at the Grey Central School
Auditorium in the foim of a
social evening for the parents
to meet the teachers.

that a Township wide competi-
tion for a school letter and school
crest design would soon be under-
way. Floyd Herman spoke briefly
on two comedy plays which the

in November and stressed that
several volunteers were needed.
It was agreed that the Home and
School Association would again

Municipal Officeon Monday night
with all members present, and
Reeve J. L. McCutcheon pre-
siding.
Motions adopted included:
- That Schedule A in By-Law
No. 3-1973 be interpreted to
read that the $1,000.00 he apprai-
• sed Value of construction, not
actual cost of construction.
- That building permits
totalling '$10,300.00 in value be
granted to J. W. Griffith for
addition to house; P.D.McFadden
for car port; Ralph Pearson for

A Varna merchant was killed
and two Toronto men injured in
a two car accident at the inter-

Mr.. FarqUerson has head and
internal injuries as well as a
broken wrist and hand. Mr. -
Alexander suffered head cuts and

Monday as Mr. Porter in a
small car was proceeding north
on Huron Road 12. The Farquer-
son car was travelling east on
Highway 86. The Porter car was
demolished by the impact.
