best to have the steak cut thin
and to marinate it, for these are
less tender than steaks cut from
the loin or sirloin. To broil, place
marinated steak on the grill ,or
broiler rack -1 to 5 inches from
the heat. Broil•at moderate tem-
perature for 7 to 10 minutes'on

braise, brown the steaks, add
seasoning and a small amount of
liquid, cover and cook slowly nn-

Annual McBurney reunion held Sunday

The annual McBurney -reunion
was held at the home of .10,
and Mrs, Gordon •McBurney on
Sunday with about 50 in
attendance. People were present
from Cass City, Michigan,
St. Thomas, London, Cambridge,
Preston, Seaforth, Gorrie and
Winghain area,
David Pletch and Grant Gnay
attended Camp Menesetung at
Goderich last week.
Mr, and Mrs. Alan Scbtt and
children of Barrie spent the
weekend with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Scott,
Misses Melanie and Meribeth
Scott attended the camp of their
uncle W.F. Shackleton. at Rain-
bow Valley Ranch at Caledon for.,
two weeks recently.

Mr. and. Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse
visited on Sunday with Mrs. Ru-
sel Walker of Goderich.

Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
MacDonald of Teeswater called
on Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stone-
house last Tuesday evening.
Mr. Nand. Mrs. Harold Slesser
of Glamis and Mrs. TelfordCook
returned home on Tuesday after-
noon from their trip to Eastern
Canada where they visited with
the former's daughter and son-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Dick-
son of Shubenacabie, NovaScotia.
Mrs, Hilda Roberts of
Listowel spent ' a few days last
week with Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Grasby also visited with her
sister Mrs. ,Mary Armstrong at
the Brookhaven Nursing Home,
Wingham.
Mrs, Gary Leitch, Julie and
Jeffery, and Mrs. George John-
ston of London are spending a few
days with their parents, Mr and
Mrs, Filbert Grasby.

returned home last Sunday from
their trip to Victoria, B.C. They

with Kelly Lougheed leading in

cises. Patti Edwards took charge
of the Roll Call. Minutes of
the last meeting were read 'by
Alison Roberts. Alison. Roberts
helped withjthe worship service
Joan Higgins and Patti Edwards
collected the offering and Patti
Edwards, recited the offertory
prayer. .
The treasurer's report was
given by Nancy Moore. Leaders
for next week are; games, Joan
Higgins; sing-song, Kelly Loug-
heed; to help with worship
service, Julie Gnay, clean-up
AllSon Roberts and Kelly
Lougheed, The sing-song
was led by Patti Edwards.
The girls Worked on stripe and
badge work. The meeting closed
with prayer.
