sometime in August, to London.

Brussels, respectively were among some 50 agricultural
marketing persorinel from Ontario and Quebec who attended
a recent seminar at London on agricultural -developments, with
particular -attention to the liquid protein supplement. The
seminar, under the direction of agricultura 1' specialists,
reviewed the current world wide shortage of natural protein,
and the value to farmers of a liquid protein silage supplement.

Honour Wright's 30th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wright
celebrated their 30th wedding an-
niversary on Friday. July 20
when their two sons Gordon and
Raymond entertained them at a
dinner at the- Turnberry Tavern.
Following dinner they took
them to the Bluevale Community
Hall where they were joined by
friends,-relatives and neighbours
and everyone enjoyed an evening
. of dancing to Tiffin's orchestra.
Mr. Harold Elliott called the
couple to the front where they
were presented with many lovely
gifts and some money. Jim and
Pearl both thanked everyone and
lunch was served by the Turn-
berry Ladies' Aid.
The U.C.W. of Bluevale United
Church will -entertain the Baby
Band Sunday School and Mes-
.sengers picnic .in Bluevale Park
on wednesda.y afternoon, Aug. 1.-
Miss _Sandra Moffatt spent a
few days holidaying with Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard Eccles and family.
Mr. Ken Elliott of Agincourt
spent a few days last week with
Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Elliott.
Mr. and Mrs. StanleySmith of
Brampton spent the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Gordie Ruff and
Gordie.
Mrs. Edna Forbeck of Niagara
Falls and Mrs. J.J. Elliott, also
Mrs. Albert Porter of Luck-
now visited at Silent Valley Park
and also visited at Owen Sound..
Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Hall were Mr. and
Mrs. William Hall and grand-
son of Chatham, mr. and Mrs.
Jack Scott and family of Newton,
and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hall and
family of Brussels.
Geologists believe that in the
Pleistocene era the English
Channel was only a gulf and Eng-
land was joined *to Europe by a
land bridge. The sea cut through
the bridge, probably some 10,000
years ago,
Henson Reeve
is injured
Hensall's Reeve John Baker is
in the intensive care unit at St.
Joseph's Hospital, London with
a fractured pelvis and face cuts.
Mr. Baker was injured last yri-
day afternoon while servicing
a combine.
Jim Hyde, of Hyde Brothers
Farm Equipment, where the
Reeve is employed, says no one .
was present at the scene when
the accident took place, but he
believes the machine rolled for- ,
ward causing Mr. Baker to be
knocked down and run over. The
accident occurred about 5 p.m.
