Huronview
It has been encouraging durieg the past month to see
some of the visitors making uee of the picnic tables and
benches on the lawn to have family get,togethers with
the residentS.
There was special music for the Sunday morning chapel
service 'conducted by •the Chaplain, Rev. MacWinnie, with.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Symonds sining two duet numbers.
A group of young musicians, organized through the
Opportunity for youth Programs who are known as "The
Band", visited the home last Monday and played for a
concert on the lawn. These young people are equipped
with an amplifying systern and portable organ. They will
be, playing 'each Monday afternoon for the next eighe weeks.
Members of ,the bend, along with their leader Dwayne
Sinner, are Wendy McAstocker, Gerda potzel, Elizabeth
Seaman,- Marie Boyle, Paul Cummings, Ernie Pfrimmer,
Ernie McMillan and pion Smith. A. epecial number was
played for residents haying birthdays during the week with
special mention for those veer 90 which included Mrs.
Mary Taylor and Miss Ida Cunningham.
• Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scribbons showed coloured slides
and Mrs. Clara Seaddick entertained with piano selections
at the Family Night Program. The pictures were taken by
Mr. Scribbons during a trip to the old country and the con-
tinent. Being' originally from England Mr. Scribbons was
able to give •a very interesting commentary, Miss Bertha
Deihl expressed the thanks of the residents,.
