Stink- ers sting M.A,S.H. 17-14 and slip one poiet ahead of their opponents and into third place. The game was very close with the score 9-'7 going into the seventh inning. But the visitors scored 8 runs in their half and then held on although alloWing their opposition to „score '7 runs. Ken 'Could Go Anywhere' Ritchie took the win and Ken 'Scorcher' Scott took the loss. In the nightcap, the top two teams Sabres and Barons, played to a 5-5 draw. Both teams played exceedingly well, with a tie the best possible answer to a great game of ball. Frank Stretton pitched for the Swords allowing 10 hits, issuing 3 walks and striking out 14 batters. Chris Exel was the hurler for the Aris- tocrats compiling 8 strikeouts, allowing 10 . hits and issuing 2 walks. PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Wee Stinkers - Gord 'Rumbler! Lynn and family spent a couple ,days in Toronto and attended te wed- ding of their daughter Jenny, to Don Lloyd. The couple will reside in Montreal. A miscellaneous shower was held in the United Church Wed- nesday evening in honour of Miss Jenny Lynn, prior to her mar- riage. She received many lovely gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Raymond and Irene spent the weekend in London with Mr. and Mrs. Doug Davidson and Blair. A quite a number of children are enjoying two weeks of Bible School, held by the Mennonite Church folk. Girl Guides of the Egerton Baptist Church, London with their captain Mrs. Ross Eickmeier enjoyed a camping weekend at the home of Mrs. C. Eickmeier. They toured the Atwood cheese factory Saturday and also enjoyed swim- ming. Sunday they attended Ethel Presbyterian church service. , Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Pearson visited with .Mr. and Mrs. A. Bremner at their cottage in Amberley. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dolson and family- spent the weekend at the trailer In Boiler Beach. Mr. and Mrs . Hugh Ferguson and sons of Brandon, Manitoba visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Stephenson. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Goldner of Listowel and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rea of Rosetown, Sask. called on Mr.and.
