In setting down objectives the 18 representatives agreed o the necessity of building up .thus- iasm in the 4-H Progr m as a top priority. Programmes whic the Youth Council will ganize and operate this year yiclude: 1) Recreation w rkshep for 4-H Youth Counci Representatives and 4-H Clue Leaders. A com- mittee to et up the workshop include eth Passmore, Joe Phelan, Barry Gordon, Glen ' McNe , Don Dodds, Keith Walla. son and Len MacGregor. Th Youth Council decided to set up a programme for 4-11 Ex9 setup delegates from Mich- igan during the week of July 4.8th-e5th. The committee to set up and look after the entertainment includes Chair- man Barry Gordon, Dwight Etherington, Barry Miller, Beth Passmore, Joe phelan and Karen Tyndall. The com- mittee will meet Monday, July 9th to prepare a programme. It was suggested the entertain- ment be held at "Balls Grove" north of Clinton. 3) Youth Council reps are also interested in offering a Dem- onstration Workshop to club members pteling on demonstra- tions this summer. 4) Other topics suggested for further meetings included: a) Variety Night for the fall b) Bottle drive to help raise funds for, youth Council ActivitieS. Allan Nichol is a patient in Midland Hospital and is expected to be transferred to a London Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Adrain Mc- Taggart have returned from a month's vacation trip to the East. Coast. Donald Kennedy of' Markham visited on Sunday with his brae ther Roy and Mrs. Kennedy. qr. and Mrs. Alvi e Higgins spent the holiday weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ward and Jeffrey and Julie of St. Marys, They also attended the Higgins Reunion held in the Cadzew Park, Julie was the youngest child and had the honour of hav- ing her picture taken with Mr. . Robert Higgins of Beigrave, the oldest gentleman there, Peter Bredin of Toronto was a visitor on Saturday with Mr. and. Mrs. D. A. 'Bann and other Brussels. friends.
