Mrs. Gladys Maber of Vic-
toria, B.C., was a visitor with
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Martin last
week.

Miss Kathy Ebel of Ingersoll,
spent a few days last week with

She returned home with Mr. and
Mrs, McCutcheon who visited in
Ingersoll on Sunday.
Mrs. J. W. Fischer had the
misfortune to suffer a broken
shoulder when she slipped and
fell. She is a patient in List-
owel Hospital.
Mr. Cecil McFadden was
a week end visitor with his
daughter, Mrs. Mac Irvine and
Mr.,Irvine of Guelph.
Mrs. J.A. Work of London
visited her son and datighter'-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Graham. Work
and family, for several days last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bowman
and Jim; Mr. and Mrs. Jack
pall, Mr. and Mrs, Wm. Marshal ;
rinda and Lisa of London, visited
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Elston on
Sunday.
Miss M. Skelton was a visitor
in Scarborough and Long. Branch
last week. While in Toronto,
' Miss Skelton attended the 'Save
The Children" Open House.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mcwhirter
and family, Wm. McWhirter and
Mrs. Frank Alcock of Brussels,
attended the graduation of Miss
Gail McWhirter at Alumni Hall,
Western University on Friday
evening.
Mr. George of Brussels and
staff recently attended a special
seminar in Stratford by L'Oreal
of Paris on hairdressing, cutting
and colouring and later will be
attending special clinics on all
aspects of hairdressing.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Yuill, Mrs.
Jos. Bewley, Clinton, and Mr.
and Mrs. Waiter Bewley attended
the graduation of. Miss Brenda
Bewley at Alumni Hall, western
University on Friday evening.

Miss Judy White was honoured
prior to her marriage, when
neighbours, friends and relatives'
gathered at Brussels United
Church on Friday night to shower
her with miscellaneous gifts.
The bride-elect, her mother,
Mrs. Clarence White and grand-
motherS, Mrs. Mary Ovington and
Mrs. Mary White and the groom's
mother, Mrs. George Somers
and grandmothers, Mrs, Daisy
McLean and Mrs. VernaSomers,
were all presented with corsages.
Mrs. Gertrude Kellington
welcomed those . present. The
program included piano numbers
by Mrs. Grace Jutzi and Janice
Somers, sister of the groom,
Gail and Gloria White, cousins
of the bride, contributed vocal
nurnbers accompanied by Mary
Lou Johnston.
During the course of the
evening,. Mrs. Barbara Watts
read an address of good wishes
and Judy was presented with many
