'Presse4 concern about maraud-
ing cats who disturb the birds
and kill the young ones. If
yo u let your cat rOAni, day or
night, why not put a bell on it.
That would at least warn the
birds of the cat's approach and
give them some protection. Be
considerate and help in the
preservation of our feathered
creatures. Bell your cat or
keep it confined during the nest,
ing season and until such time
as the newly hatched birds are
able to look after themselves.

Murray Cardiff is one of those
who was aboard the Mary Poppins
when she sailed from Halifax
to St. John's Nfld., on the first
leg of a 3,000 mile journey.
The Mary Poppins is the 36-
foot sloop that Ken Campbell of
R.R. 1, Dublin, and Harry Whale
of Hanover, plan to sail the
Atlantic from Halifax to Ports-
mouth, England, Did Murray
regret watching the Mary Poppins
leave St. John's Harbour without
him or was he relieved that he
was not aboard for the expected
four week crossing of the Atlan-
tic?
