Huronview
Volunteers from the Goderich Township Womens In-
stitute assisted with MondaY afternoon's activities of old
tyme music dancing and sing 7a-long. Mrs. Molly Cox
joined the Huronview regulars Mary Taylor, Norman
Speir and Jerry Collins to provide the music.
' During the afternoon four new residents were welcomed
to ' the Home. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Black of Howick
Township, Mrs. liackwell, Walton, Mrs. Harrington, Clinton.
The Womens. Institute from Goderich were hosts on
Wednesday for the April birthday party. One hundred and
fifty residents and guests attended the party which in-
cluded a variety program
'
gifts for the twenty-five cele-
brants., and, lunch served by the ladies. Mrsmanie Sut-
cliffe introduced the program with dance numbers by
Elize Lindsay, vocal duets by Reverend and Mrs. Warr,
Muriel Harrison and Helen Lindsay; readings by Mrs.
Crozier, and Mrs. Van Arxnan, old tyme music by Joan'
and Allan Schram. Mrs. Mosack , who celebrated her
97th birthday this month, thanked the ladies on behalf of
the residents.
The residents were entertained on 'Family Night with
a travelogue of Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii with
Mrs. Edith Landsborough giving the commentary and
Mrs. Bert Jarvis operating the projector. Mrs. Murray
Forbes played the piano before the pictures and during
- the intermission.

The Annual 'Meeting of the
Grey Central Home & School
Association was held in the school
auditorium. Mrs. 'Evelyn Deme-
ray welcomed the group and the
financial'• statement was given
by Mrs. Jean weber. It was
decided to send two delegates
to the Annu'al Home & School
Convention , to be held in Toronto
on April 26, 27 and 28. Numerous
letters were received from the
pupils to show their appreciation
to the Home and School for the
hot dogs during the winter.
The following officers were
installed for the coming year:
President, James Axtrnan; Vice-
Presidents, Mrs. Sharon •Boylan,'
Mrs. Jean Evans; Secretary,
Mrs. Leona Armstrong; Assis-
tant Secretary, Mrs. Marilyn
Guy; Treasurer, Lothar Weber.
The guest 'speaker for the
evening was Mr. CaIier who
spoke on “Being aGood Parent".
A question and answer period
followed and 'coffee was served.
Mrs. Sharon Boylan thanked the
speaker and presented him with
a gift.
