TODAY'S CHILD
BY HELEN ALLEN
I
Peter is a handsome lad with smiling dark eyes, brown hair
and -medium complexion. His backgrOund is English and
French.
Small for his age, he looks two or three years younger
than he is. Born prematurely, Peter was slow to develop. He
is in excellent health, with only minor co-ordination pro-
blems. He attends special crasses for non-academic students
and will continue to need this type of special training.
Peter is a lovable, even-tempered boy, well-mannered
and eager to please. He is aware that he is somewhat behind
other children but his good nature and real spunk make him
keep trying. He likes to tease, is full of conversation and
shows interest in everything going on. His co-ordination
makes organized sports difficult but he loves to play for fun.
He is enjoying learning t o swim.
This lad gets on well with children of all ages. He.
thrives on warmth, understanding and stimulation. With his
winning personality, he can be a joy to a family who will
accept him as he is without placing high academic expectations
on him.
To inquire about adopting Peter, please write: to Telay's
Child, Box 888, Station K, Toronto.
LOVES TO BE HELPFUL
Peter loves people, and part of his happiness in com-
panionship is being helpful. This 11-year-old is a willing
volunteer for all sorts of houSe and garden chores and he
even goes ar ound the neighborhood' looking for projects he
can help with.
