Di • a M IN CO No 5E1 Announce winners in Polar Bonspiel The bonspiel at the arena wound up the 19'73 edition of the Brussels Lions 4 'Polar Daize". The draw for the snowmobile was held at 9 P.M. with Warren Zinn of Dungannon holding the lucky ticket. Both draws were filled with curlersfrom Monkton, Gorrie, Wingham, Teeswater, Atwood, Listowel and Belmore with Brus- sels teams filling out the draws. The winners for 9 A.M. Draw- 1. Al Tenpas, Skip; Murray Hoover, Vice; Danny Pearson, Second and Ern. Lewington, Lead, Brussels - 3 wins plus 23. 2. Gordon Edgar, Gorrie - 2 wins plus 13 3. Doug. Rathwell and rink- Brussels - 2 wins plus 12.. Consolation - Tom Inglis - On Monday, February 26th the Brussels Girls Hockey Team played against Ripley. The girls that played were: Annette Dorsch, Mary Smith, Juanita Smith, Judy Sellars, Judy Adams, Mary Lynne Cardiffe, Bonnie Richmond, Brenda McCutcheon, Rhonda Keffer, Linda Machan, Michelle McCutcheon, Susan Lariglois, Julie McCall, Julie Caml:bell, Joan Huether, Peggy Gibson, Gwen Bernard and Carol Belmore, - Winners of the 11 o'clock Draw; 1. ' The entry of Don Mc- Donald with Herb Traviss, Lead; Ken McDonald, Second; Jerry Pollock vice; and. Don McDonald, skip with 3 wins plus 16. 2. Bill. Beacom and rink, Brussels with 2 wins plus 16 3. Dinner was served M the club room by the ladies of the Brussels Curling Club, gettin the usual praise from the visi- tors for their efforts. Sandwiches and coffee were available fo the evening meal. Raymond, Gail White and Dorm Willis. Although we all tried ver hard, we lost 9 - O. But we all thought it was' fun! We woul like to thank Mr. Campbell, Keller and Mrs Scott for takin cars to Ripley.
