Monday was a real success despite a rather cold day.. A full slate of 16 teams were entered from St. Jacobs, Wingham, Whitechurch, Belgrave, Atwood and Brussels. The spiel was sponsored by the Brussels Curling Club with Top- notch Feeds Ltd. supplying the trophy for annual competition. The success of this weekend made up for the show- ing that our boys gave in Garden City where they won only one game and managed to tie in another. The biggest improve- ment seemed to be in the Mite game. When in Garden City, the Mites lost by scores of 5-0 and 3-0 but last weekend they shutout Garden City 5-0 in the opening game and 8-1 on Sun- day.
