and work, trucked snow to pro-
vice a track. Brussels Lions,
trusting in the usual hither to
state of this snow-belt area at
this time of year, are proceeding
with plans for the full scheduled
program of exciting events for
February 24th, 25th and 26th.
We wish them fine weather and
the best of luck. * * * * * *
How many people visit a
dentist without a single qualm of
apprehension?
Major surgery would be faced,
by this coward, with less shrink-
ing with stark terror than a ses-
sion in a dental chair. Neglect-
ing careful scrutiny of aging
teeth, such a trip is put off until
inevitable agony forces such re-
luctant journeying. Having made
it to the waiting room ears are
strained for the faintest whisper
of pain from the centre of oper-
ation. In the dental chair, clut-
ching the arms with whitened
knuckles, every nerve a quiver
and muscle tense, eyes are
closed to avoid the sight of those
fearsome tools as the man in
white says "Open Wide". Under
his ministrations all that sense-
less foreboding and putting off.
was for nothing. Not for a
fleeting instance is there a single
sensation of pain experienced.
The man is understanding and
gentle, though probably amused
at a silly feminine reaction to
what is now painless dental
techniques. Mind is made up
that never again will unfounded
fears scare this person half to
death into neglect and a full set
of dentures. You guessed it.
Next time the same thing all
over again. * * * * * *
Brussels topped Garden City
in the week end Minor Hockey
Tournament here. Brussels
teams won six of the 10 games
giving them 12 points 'to Garden
City's 8 points. There was
jubilation among our players and
coaches for they had come out
of the earlier encounter this year
in Garden City with humiliating
defeat. The wins were not easy
victories. Some of the games
were decidedly rough.
