Provincial heard of Health Says Geis

Water Supply.
In order to improve the water supply.
Goderich will have to instal a filtration
System at a cost estimated at from $25.000
to $30,000. This is the arrangement made
with the Provincial Board of Health at a
conference held at Toronto on Tuesday of
last week. The Provincial authorities
also were inclined at first to insist upon
the immediate extension of the intake
piix, but after consideration of the whole
matter it was decided that for the prevent
the installation of a filtenng plant would
be sufficient.
The report of the conference was pre-
sented at a sorra meeting of the town
council. the local board of health and the
water and light commission at the town
hall on Friday night. Mr. A. D. McLean,
chaitman of the board of health. presided.
and Mayor Wigle read the report of the
conference at Toronto which was attended
by himself, Dr. Hunter and Mr. W.1'.
