The dates: as now (iced are August 7. 8, 9, 10 and 11 --from Sun- day to Thursday. The committee is planning so that each day will have an interest of its own. and it is hoped that u many as possible of the Old Boys and Girls will arrange to he here for the full term of the reunion. 'One of the crack bands of Western On - tar o will be engaged for one or more days of the celebration. and the band of the 33rd Regiment will provide good music on other days. From various quarters come indications that the coming event is arousing much interest among Goderich people all over the continent, and former residents who have not "been home" for many years are making, plans to join the crowd at the August reunion. Among the letters received the past week is one from "Sid" Malcomson, of New Westminster. R C.. the hero of many a hard-fought game on thebaseballdiamond in Goderich in years gone by. Nichol, Lieutenant -Governor of BritishCoJ4mbia, who is a native of this town. rlr. Gordon himself left Goderich Apnl 1st/1879. and has spent the last thirty-seven years^• in the Coast Province. Another letter received is as follows : Ycur kindly invitation duty received and Mrs. Niebergall and 1 are planning to be there. 1 have always -claimed that Goderich was the prettiest town in Canada and have yet to see any that equals it. Even so early in the season they have commenced taking regular practice. For a couple of weeks past the players IN have been working out at Victoria Park, They will not last long. J. H. THE HOUSE OF RELIABILITY owing to the grounds at Agricultural Park _ not being fit, and if the number turning out to get the kinks out of their arms and legs is any criterion there should be no lack of players in Goderich this year. There will be some new faces on the line- up of the local team this season, and the indications are that Goderich will be rep- resented on the diamond by one of the strongest teams in years. The club -has entered the North Wellington League and will be in fast company. All players must be signed up pfior to May 1st, to be eligible to play in League games. The diamond at Agricultural Park will be changed around somewhat this season. The homeplate will be at the north end of the diamond, to avoid the rays of the sun which gave trouble to the pitcher and catcher before.
