and vieinity. Mr. Hoover formerly

Miss Beatrice Lauder, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. G. H. Lanier of town, has been
very ill at St. Catharine, with an attack
of pneumonia. but is now reported to he
on the way to recovery, Miss Lauder i'
a teacher on the staff of the St. Catharines
Collegiate Institute.
Mr. "Jack" Snell, a Goderich Old Boy,
well known here in bygone days. was a vis.
itor in town the past week, his wife having
been here the last few weeks attending
het mother, Mrs. Robert 1 hompson, who
is very ill. Their Wine is at Chicago, but
Mr. Snell recently spent three years in
Australia, and talks very interestingly of
that country. Not many of the boys he
knew when in Goderich are still here, btrt
he found a few of them and talked over
old times with gusto.
