A RY-LAW PROVIDING FOR THE
GRANTING OF FURTHER AID
TO THE GODERiCH MANUFAC-
TURING COMPANY, LIMiTED,
AND EXEMPTING RAiD COM-
PANY FROM TAXATION.
Whereas by Ay -law No. 22 of 1914
certain aidea therein met forth was
granted to The Goderich Furniture
Company, Limited (the name of which
('ompany watt subsequently altered to
that of The Goderich Manufacturing
Company, Limited), upon the eondl-
tione provided for in said by-law.
And whereas twentyone months af-
ter the plant of Fetid Company was In
operation It wasxis a n
t large extent
destroyed by fire and has not been in
operation shoe.
And whereas although as a result of
said fire a large portion of the total
sum repayable under said by-law by
the said ('ompany to the mid Corpora-
tion of the Town of (1o(Ierlch was paid
over to said Corporation by the Insur-
ant* c ompsnlei, yet there still remains
unpaid a balance which 1A, for the pur-
poses of this by-law, and only In case
it is finally passed. fixed at the sum of
$3.s00 00
And whereon( the Company now pro -
post's to rebuild its factory upon the
former .It. and lin. requested aid In
en doing from the Council of the said
Town of Goderich to the extent and
upon the eouditlon. Hereinafter set
forth. which aid to to Include exemp-
tion from taxation', except school taxes,
for a period of ten years and oremisalon
of the said balance of $3,810.00 so un-
paid as aforeaflld.
And whereas it 1s expedient to grant
mid aid subject to the conditions

Town of Goderlch for the sum et

the said debentures at one time and
to make the principal of the aid debt

by the Council of the Municipality (in
the event of the awsent of the electors
being obtained thereto) after one
month from the first publication In The

ember, 1920.

vlslons of the Munk'ipal Act, Section
26.1, 8. 8. 3, are required ten days be-
fore the day of voting to file with me
a statutory declaration of qualification,
