The Sigald't t;ubeeriptisn Rate Goes
Up on This Date.
In order to keep pact with the rising
eonsof publication, and particularly
with theVgrsatly increased price of white
paper, the subscription pries of The
Signal will be advanced to 12 a Year, the
new rate to take effect November 1st;
Until that date subscriptions will be
accepted at the present rate of $t.50 a
year.
The advance in price is absolutely
necessary. 1t is not in reality an increase
in price, for measured in purchasing
power two dollars is not any more valu-
able than one dollar was six years ago.
:Weed, newsprint has more than trebled
ig price in this period.
