gram E'er Presented.
Provided the weather man is kind,
the Goderich Industrial Exhibition on
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of,
next week promises to be even a more'
popular event than in previous years.
1 his week arrangements were made
whereby the great Brown & Dyer Stows
will be here as a Midway attraction. This
is a mammoth affair which usually is seen
only in the cities, and presents a great
variety of unique features, of which the
special advertisement on page 5 of this
issue gives some particulars.
An outstanding feature of the Exhibition
will be the visit on Thursday of Hon.
Manning Doherty, Minrster of Agriculture
in the Ontario Governfhent, who will give
an address at 2.30 o'clock and will form-
ally open the Exhibition. Mr. Doherty
is one of the big figures in Provincial
affairs and will no doubt be heard with
great interest by the people of both town
and country. The three members of the
Legislature 'for the Huron ridings have
also been invited to be present.
The four speed events -two on Thurs-
day and two on Friday -are engaging the
attention of the horsemen and keen con-
tests on the splendid half -mile track are
lobe looked for.
Performances will be given before the
grandstand each afternoon and evening.
Townspeople will find the fust evening -
Wednesday -a good time to see the ex-
hibits and attractions before the big crowd
arrives.
Prize lists may be had on application to
the secretary, Dr. W. F. Clark, and will
be found to include additional features
and special pnzeswhich will be of interest
to exhibitors. The secretary will open an
office at the town hall on Friday evening
of this week for the convenience of exhib-
itors. This will be open day and evening
up to Tuesday evening next, after which
the secretary's office will be at the fair
grounds as usual.
Vi-itora to the Exhibition will find ex-
cellent provision for the serving of meals,
and ample accommodation for the parking
of cars. Everybody within reach of Gode-
rich should make it a point to take a
holiday next week and visit the Exhibi-
ion, and a good plan for those who can
