A big crowd is expected in town for the
Orange demonstration on Monday next.
Special trains are to arrive by G. T. R.
from Lucan Crossing, at 8.25 a. m..
from Seaforth at 10.45, and by C. P. R.
from Guelph at 10.30. The railways de-
manded large guarantees for these special
trains, but the local Orangemen were
pe and put up the required deposits.
There will be a program of speeches on
the Square in the afternoon, prominent
members of the Order taking part.

At the hast meeting of the water and
light commission an application- from
the Goderich Flax & Seed Co. for :t0
electric horsepower for their premixes
on Y.idon street was received and re-
ferred to the engineer. •
The commission accepted the proposi-
tion of the Hunter Bridge & Holler
Co.. Kincardine. to add twenty -rave feet
to the standpipe at a price of *3,3011
and to make the overflow pipe water-
tight at cost plus fifteen per .cent.
ft. Marshall has been engaged as
third engineer at the -powerhouse. at
$4 a day. -

A wedding of interest to Many friends
in London. Toronto and Goderich took
place on Wednesday morning, June 23rd,
at St. Peter's Cathedral, London. Ont.. Zunch
when the marriage was 'solemnized of Crediton
Florence Matilda, daughter of Mr. and Clinton
Mrs. A.C. Wishburn,ot L.opdon, to Thos. Goderich.... .........
Gilmore Hogan. of Toronto Rev. Father
Webber officiated. The bride was attired
in a smart gown of white georgette. over
silk. and wore her mother's wedding veil
and a corsage of sunset roses and orchids.
The groom's gift, a necklace of onyx and 1
pearls, was also worn. There were no
attendants. Mr. and Mrs. Hogan will
reside in Toronto. The bridegroom is
well known in Goderich, being the son of
Mrs. Mary Hogan of this town.
The Chautauqua Program.
The Geslerich Chautauqua opens
Tuesday. July 27. and concludes Mon-
day. August 2. The program is very
attractive, and Goderich people will be
