The Bolshevik Government of Russia
is reported to have repudiated the national
debt incurred under the regime of the
Czars. 1f this sort of thing is to he allowed,
it will pay any country to have a revolu-
tion once in a while.
The Provincial Government proposes
drastic increases in the schedule of sue -
cession duties. thc heaviest imposts being
made on large bequests to others than
relatives. It is estimated that the revenue
from these duties will be dqubled under
the new `schedule. -`--
At Toronto some of the barbers are
charging fifty cents for a haircut. We
hope the local fraternity will not hear..
