has leased the well known property on
the Square formerly occupied by Hodgen

stores proposes to operate stores in some-
what different manner from present-day

an annual dividend on his purchases has
also been carefully worked out.
The opening day has not definitely been ;
decided upon, but it is expected the store

factory, which lay idle for severel years.

in two or three years the "Mercantile"

West Telephone Company in removing

Albemy Meloche, because, it was claimed,
members of the family had "listened in"
on party lines, Justice of the Peace Joseph
White, at Sandwi( h. on Thursday, Jan-
uary 22nd. dismissed the suit brought by
Meloche against the Company.
Testimony ' of twenty-seven witnesses
was hear8 before a decision was reached.
Some of the witnesses told the court the
Meloche family had interrupted calls on
party lines, during which strong language
wits used.
The court held that Meloche had vio:
lated the Cotnlpanv's rules in allowing his
gamily to intrude on busy lines.
