don road. Usborne town -up. on Mon-,
day. Au.ust 11th. Mrs. William Jeckell
passed aria% after a week's illness. Al-
though confined to her bed she did not ,
suffer and to the last she manusted her
usual thoughtfulness for her home and
those about her. Mrs. Jeckell was
ben April 24. 1s42. one and life -quarter
miles north of her late home. and thus her
long and useful life was .pent in that cogs. '
munity. Her maiden name was Essy Case.

church held a picnic at Bayfield yesterday
and had a most enjoyable outing.
The committee in charge of the Do-
minion Day celebration met today and
divided up nearly 5400, the surplus from
the celebration. 5125 was voted to the
soldiers' war memorial. $125 to the hos-
pital, and the remainder to the fund for
the purchase of an x-ray outfit.
Goderich Rebekah Lodge will held its
annual picnic at Menesetung Park Wed-
nesday, August 27th Cilnveyances will
leave Oddfellows' Hall at 1 p m.
