LOCAL BOARD OF HEALTH
As, following the usual fluctuations in the course
of such epidemics, the number of cases of influenza in
Goderich has considerably increased during the past
ten days, the Board'of Health asks for the hearty co-
operation of all citizens in the endeavor to prevent the
spread of the disease, and requests that the following
regulations be strictly adhered to :
1. That all patients suffering from the disease
be kept as far as possible isolated, and that no one ex-
cept the one engaged in nursing the patient have any-
thing to do with the handling of such patient.
2, That such nurse wear an a�pron to cover or-
dinary clothes when in attendance do patients.
3. That hands be thoroughly washed in sonic
antiseptic solution after every attendan(e.
4. That no one in attendance upon or in any'
possibility of infection from any patientllowed to
mingle with the general public.
5. That patients recovering from the 4isease
should not mingle with the general public Many
cough still remains.
To carry nut these regulations the Board has re-
quested a daily report of cases by the medical atten-
dants, so that the Inspector can keep in totich with
cases as they arise.
If these regulations as outlined are not observed
by the public, the Board will be compelled to resort
to the placsrding of houses and the enforcement of a
strict quarantine.
