CAltuE, Secretary Murdered at Prince Albert. On November 20th Corp. Chas- Hors- ley, a son of Mr. Richard Horsley. of , Clinton, was shot and killed by bandits at Prince Albert, Sask. 1t appears that Corp. Horsley, who is a member of a battalion stationed at Prince Albert, had been detailed to assist the Provincial police in arresting a couple of d speradoes who had been terrorizing the community, and while in the performance el his duty was shot and instantly killed. The trag- edy took place on a steep bank of the Saskatche,.an River and after Hcrafey was shot his body rolled down he bank. His compan'ons, a soldier and a Pro- vincial constable. went down to bring the i ody back and while this was taking place the desperadoes escaped. Howeverf sonie days later they were finally cap- tured and they are now in Jail, awaiting trial. Corp. Horsley was horn in Clinton but had been a resident of the West for about six years.
