R. froin three Atom Hurl in boys returned from France- Ptes. 11. J. Attie, Beniniller: Goderich. All three have been wounded and being convalescing in England when the armistice was signed were among the first to be returned to Canada. They were met at the station by Mayor Wigle and members of the council. as well as a large number ot citizens. A procession marched to the Square, where addresses were delivered by a number of prominent citizens, after ahich the boys were es- corted to their homes. Sergt. Melville Rhynas. who had spent the past two years oversees. arrived in town on Wednesday and is visiting his mother, Mrs. W. A. Rhynas. Sergt. Rhynas enlisted at Calgary in 1916 and proceeded overseas in a draft shortly , af- ter. On his arrival in France he was at tached to the famous 49th Battalion and was severely wounded at Passchendaele. He has spent the past eight months -in different hospitals ol France and England. It is aim st eleven years since he last visited Goderich. After a short stay here he will report at his military head• quarters at Calgary. The following letter has been received by Mr. John II. Barker, of Colborne township. with reference to the death of his son, Pte. J: roes H. Barker, who was killed in action on September 27th. 191s: France. October -3, 1918. DEAR MR.
