Word has been received in town this
week of the death of Lieut. Harry Charles
McIntosh. a nephew of the Misses McIn-
tosh. Church street. Lieutenant McIntosh
was burn in Goderich thirty-two years
ago, moved to St. Paul with his p.trents,
Charles L. and Catherine McIntosh. while
a small child,foaduated from the Chicago
College of Medicine and Surgery in 1913,
and practised in St. Paul until entering
the 1. nited States army iv July last. He
wa- a member r.r base hospital unit No.
Ihl. tamp Sherman. Ohio. and died Oc-
tober 5th of pneumonia contracted while
fighting the inti&nza outbreak which
swept the camp that falx.
No casualty retorts have been received
at the local telegraph offices during the
past week. After the heavy lists of the
last few weeks this is certainly a relief.

rich and surrounding country is being
arranged, by the Victory loan campaign
committee and the local clergy, for the
purpose of returning thanks for the great
tide of victory that has flowed (o the
Allied, arms and offering -prayer for its
continuance, and for the stimulating of
interest in the Victory loan. The meeting
will be held, weather permitting, in the
Court Heine Park. at 3 o'clock. and will
be ad eased by several speakers. includ-
