Mrs. Jane has received a unique souven

Jane, who is to France. From chalkstune
taken from a former German dugout he
has cleverly fashioned the semblance of a
book. with the words "Holy Bible" on the
front s.de, a cross on the other side. and
on the back "France. 1918." It is
perfectly white and is a very pretty
piece of work.

The Goderich Orchestra held a dance at
the Menesetung Park hotel on Mon-
day evening. A fairly large crowd
was present and with the excellent music
provided an enjoyable evening was spent.

Signal as lost was handed in at this of-
fice on Monday and was returned to the
advertiser the same day. Once again --

More Trains for the Exhibition.
It is customary each year for the Cana-
dian railways to givr'special rates to the
Canadian National Exhibition. This year
there has been no public announcement
regarding the intention of the railways in
this respect. but it is understood that the
local agents have race-ved a circular giv-
ing them inetructinns regarding the mat-
ter and anyone applying to them will find
this informatu.n available. The traffic
contention hag been immeasurably im-
proved since this time a year ago and

vice from all points to Toronto and re-
