Monday to spend a couple of weeks at

Messrs. Everett Alallugh and Haile
Stothers. of Toronto. called on friends in

went to Napanee this week. for a few
holidays.
William Stewart has engaged Donald
McNevin to run his threshing outfit this

Wm. Carr was unfortunate in losing one
of his best workhorses last Friday.
While drawing gravel for the new bridge
it dropped dead. This is a heavy •as, as
the animal was lurch MO. Richard
Park also has suffered severe loss. two of
his cows having died and another being
very sick. Dick was offered $1.000 re-
cently for seven cows, including the
three mentioned. The cause of the
trouble is not known exactly. but it is
supposed to be the heat and dry pasture.
