A HARPY EVENT. -On Wedne>da>,
May 1st, the home of Mr. and Mrs.
m.
H. Lobb was the scene of a pretty wedding
when their third daughter, Olive Ferne.
was united in the holy hands of matri-
mony to Mr. Lorne Jervis. eldest son of
Mr. and Mrs. Alf. Ji rvis. of Holmesville.
in the presence of immediate. friends..
and relatives. At 11 o'clock. to the
strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march
played by Miss Joy Lobb. youngest sinter
- 1 of the bade. the bridal party entered the
parlor and took their places between ever-
green pedestals with a pretty background
of evergreens and white satin ribbons.
I The bride who was given away by her
Ifather. was daintily gowned in white
silk poplin and satin with veil and orange
blossoms, and carried a beautiful shower
bouquet of roses and lily of the valley.
Her sinter, Miss Lulu. was bridesmaid.
She wore a gown of reseda green silk pop-
lin with gold trimmings and a pretty cors-
age bouquet of Ophelia rosea. The groom
was ably assisted by his cousin and life-
long chum. Mr. Clarence R ter.

the congratulations Miss Joy played soft-
ly the Lohengrin Bridal Chorus and dur-
ing the signing of the register Mr. Frank
Lobb sang "08 Perfect Love." A short
musicale followed the congratulations.
• Miss Iva Harris. of Seaforth. sang "Love's
Garden of Roses." Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Lobb rendered a duet, When the Dew
Is on the Rae," followed by a sob from
Mr. C. Potter, "Love's Old Sweet Song."
The Lobb brothers rendered a splendid
' quartette, and a solo by Miss Lulu Lobb.
"The Sunshine of Your Smile," corn-
; pleted a program enjoyed by all. After-
wards the guests, numbering about
I twenty-five. repaired to the prettily
Idecorated dining -roan, where a dainty
lunch was served by two pretty
waitresses. Miss Lillie Townsend
and Miss Iva Harris. girl friends of the
bride. The young couple rete ived many
1 valuable presents, showing the esteem in
which they are held by their relatives and
' friends. The bridal party left by auto
1 on the wedding trip. On their return
they will reside on the groom's farm at
Holmesville, ac-ompsmed by the good
wishes of their friends for a long and
prosperous married life.
