situation the session of Knox church has
decided to hold the regular services in the
lecture room during the cold weather.
The pastor, Rev. R. C. McDermid, will
conduct the services at Knox church on
Sunday. Morning subject: "Pray for
the War." Evening subject: "The Sav-
iour and the Storm" -a special service
for the sailors.

The Goderich Baptist Sunday school
held its annual Christmas tree on Fri-
day. December 2rtth. A good program
was given by the scholars. consisting of
dialogues, musical numbers. recitations,
etc. It was listened to with much in-
terest by a large and enthusiastic audience.
During the evening an offering was taken
in the interests of the foreign mission
board.
Next Sunday. January pith. the pastor,
Rev. Gordon \1. Holmes. will conduct the

RED CROS NOTES.
For some little time there has been no
acknowledgment of the winks knitted fur
our Red Cross Society, but we hope with
the kind assistance of our kraal papers to
have the complete list published in the
course of a kw weeks. As we all know,
socks are more needed than -ever for our
Moldier boys, and the very hest yarn is
given out from our moms in Hodgens
Bros.' store on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
