The Goderich district was well repre- sented at the Guelph winter fair last week, seventy or more from the neighboring townships being in attendance. Several made purchases of foundation stock for their farms. In the stock and poultry departments the entr es were more numerous than ever before. She was born in Colborne town- ship and lived in Goderich for a number of years before moving to Detroit with her mother and sisters two years ago last June. Besides her mother, she leaves two sisters, Mrs, Wm. Smale, of Ham- ilton, and Mrs. H. J. Wallis, of Detroit. Her • father died about five years ago. Etta was a bright, cheery girl. much loved by her associates. and her death is the cause of much sorrow. She had been in failing health for over a year, gradually !Ante away in spite of all 'that medical, aid and careful treatment could do for her. The remains were brought to Gode- rich for interment in Maitland cemetery, the funeral taking place. on Monday afternoon. Rev. Dr. Rutledge, pastor of North street Methodist church; conducted the funeral services. .Mrs. Halliday and Mrs. \Vallis, the mother and the sister of the deceased young lady, were here for the funeral.
