Huron at the next Dominion ale;tion,
underwent an operation for the re-
moval of au obstruction in the open•
ing of the stomach caused by ulcer, at
Mayo Bros.' hospital, Rochester, Min-
nesota, last week. Mr. McMillan had
suffered fruw this cause since boy-
hood, but a uip to the Old Country
some years ago and subsequently a
trip to the Coast brought a weastu•e of
relief. In 1911 and again in • 1911 he
had a recurrence of the trouble,
from which, howeyer, be temporarily
recovered, and was about with his
usual energy until five or six weeks
ago. On June 5th be delivered an
exceptional!). able speech at the an-
nual meeting of the South Huron
Liberal Association held in Hensel',
and although his ill appear auto was
generally remarked few if any realized
the physical disadvantage under which
be labored. Since then, his condition
not improving, he was advised to con-
sult the specialists at Rochester, who
deemed an op. ration necessary. This
was successfully performed and word
received hete on Monday announced
that he was making a splendid recovery
and he would be fully restored to
health in the course of h few weeks.
This will be good news to his many
friends tbt•.tughout the riding, who
are looking on him as their next rep-
resentative In the Dominion Parlia-
ment, a position to which his recog-
nised abilities justly entitle him.
