The heroine, Mile. Evelyn, is a young circus girl who falls in love with a wonderful young prince. He loves her, too, and is planning to give up his chances of th4 throne r order to elope with and marry her, when his. father dies, and he becomes king. He is called to the capital city, and Evelyn, going to the rendezvous, is not tnet by him. Frantic with grief, and heartbroken, she returns to her father, the owner of the great circus of which she is the star. He turn 3 her out, and she tries to kill herself. She is -rescued; but some of her`Clothes are found on the hank of the river, and her lover, now king, hears that she is dead. The King marries, for diplomatic in a little travelling gypsy circus, her only watches aver her when her tiny child is bor that Evelyn breaks down, and Pete-----wh pathizes with her. The chimney is 360 feet high and the attempts of the fire'department to reach its top with ladders fail. The baby is carried to the top and in the film can be seen kicking its little'heels with the roofs far below, while it rests perilotoN near to death on the slanting chimney top, belching forth smoke. Then Evelyn steps in, and volunteers to rescue the baby. Her circus training makes it possible for her to do the perilous climb, and finally the kiddie is saved. The story progresses, with further dramatic scenes, to a happy ending.
