The 0 C. I. Lit Society held
its regular semimonthly meeting in
the assembly hall of the Collegiate on
Friday evening butt. The program
opened with an instrumental by Miss
Emma Wallace, after which Lionel
Macklin gave s declamation on
•'Diamonds'." Then followed an in-
strumental by Mies Nina Woollcombe,
and the "Journal," which provided
much amusement. Key. G. M. Hohnes
gave a very interesting talk on •tCon-
etantinople," showing its imp^rtance
and why it was n.ceesary for the
Allies to obtain possession of it. Fred {
Beavers gave a piano solo, after which I

W. C. T. U. held a "crusade meeting'
in the Temperance Hall. The object
was to interest snore women in the
movement and each mender was sup-
posed to bring an outsider. The enter-
