"Two years ago 1 was so badly run

two months of the time was eou5°ed

Linens to belight
the Housekeeper!
Special Selling of Cloths and Napkins
at Much Less Than Regular Prices.
THIS is the last lot of Special Linens we are likely to have until the
war k over, for today's prices have soared far and away above the
figures at which these were bought and are higher in most cases
than you will find these Cloths and Napkins marked. This is a special
lot direct to us from one of Britain's foremost makers of fine table
damask. Some of the cloths are seconds, some are perfect. Napkins
come the same way, but in very few cases have we Cloths and Napkins
to match, although we can give you patterns that closely resemble each
other. There Is no questioning the quality of these beautiful Linens,
for all are strictly high-grade. The prices in many cases are less than
we can buy them for ourselves today. They are the last shipment we
will have from the manufacturer and were contracted for before the
war broke out. They are what are called "odds." That is, there are
few. if any, sets in the entire lot. They come in high-grade qualities
and all sizes from two yards square to two by four yards in length.
Take advantage of this opportunity to lay in a stock of good Table Linens,
for authorities in a position to judge say that it will be at least two
years after the war is over before linen prices will come back to normal
SHOWING THE NEW FURS ON SATURDAY !
Saturday morning, August 19th, we open our Annual
Midsummer Exhibition of Furs for Fall and Winter Season.
We heartily invite you to come and see them. The season's best and most
favored Furs will be shown in styks that are correct and will be worn the coming
winter. We have begin fortunate in securing some very handsome and exclusive
pieces for this exhibition. Better and higher -class garments than we usually carry in stock.
For misses and girls we have some particularly attractive sets of Fox, Coon and
other similar Furs made up in styles that are just a little bit out of the ordinary. Furs
of this nature have always been difficult to get and we are showing an exceptionally
good assortment this season.
We are paying special attention this season to making over Furs and
will be glad to give you closest quotations for anything of this kind and guar-
antee first-class workmanship.
This Fur exhibition will be held in the Millinery Showroom and we heartily
invite you to come and see these beautiful Furs. You need not feel under any obliga-
tion whatever to purchase. It is our desire that you feel free to come and look them
over at your- leisure.
Special Showing of Hudson Seal Coats
E
VERYTHING points to an exceptionally large demand for Hudson Seal Coats
the coming season. Very early we made contracts •for a liberal supply of these
garments to be made to our order. We have received ' the sample garments
showing styles in which they can be made and these will be on exhibition Saturday.
These sample garments are for sale, or if they do not happen to be your size we can
have one made your size from specially selected skins which we bought before the
marked advance in prices. We guarantee these- garments without any reservation and
our prices will be found as low as any you can get anywhere, and lower in most cases,
as we require to sell a large number to fill our contract. There are some exceptionally
handsome garments shown and if you have any thought at all of buying a Hudson
Seal Coat this season we can save you money if you will place the order now.
Bargain Tables Still Full
