The death ed Mr. Barry J. Morrie
at his home In Iioderich on Wednes-
day. 21+1 inst., reruovrd a citizen

The late Mr Morris was horn text y -

Uollborne township, where be lived
until his removal to (ioderieb in the

sf John Morris, one of the earliest and
best known of the pioneers of Col-
borne. in December, 1878, use married

and until their removal to tows Mr.

for wetly years to those who were
entertained there.
Ever since it started Mr. Morris was
a member of the West Huron Farm-
er.' Institute and for a number of

dent and later that of president. For

end Wawanosb► Agricultural Society

and he had his part in waking the
undertakings of the Society a success.
Ile was an enthusiastic and active
Liberal and for several years was
president of the Wert Huron Liberal
Association. Ile was s councillor of
(ollborne township for three years
and after his removal to Goderich he
spent a term as member of the town
council. He was a member of Barn-
staple Lodge. Sone of Kngland, and of
Maple Leaf Lodge. A. 0. U. W.. and
for several terms was D. D. G. M.
for the A. 0. U. W. In religious
faith hr adhered to the Pres-
byterisu denomination, and he
was+ a member of Knox church, (lode -
rich.
Besides his wife. two sisters sur-
